We're getting closer and closer to the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show having to officially cancel due to the government shutdown. The air show was scheduled for November 14th and 15th. It's one of the most popular events of the fall and typically draws more than 150-thousand visitors to the NAS for the performances and static displays. We're now in day 30 of the shutdown with Republicans and Democrats still in a stalemate.


Four suspects were arrested after allegedly entering vehicles and stealing property on Romana Street this week. PPD's Mike Wood says it's a common crime. Pensacola Police Spokesperson Mike Wood is urging residents to keep their vehicles locked wherever they are, whether that's at home, work, an apartment complex, or at the store. He says folks are entering vehicles and searching for valuables like cash or guns to steal. Wood tells NewsRadio that some stolen property was recovered when officers found the four suspects.

Habitat for Humanity has transformed a former drug house site in Santa Rosa County, into a new home, marking a fresh start for the neighborhood. About two years ago, deputies raided the notorious property in Midway, which residents were relieved to see demolished. Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Randy Tifft highlighted the dangers posed by such sites. The county donated the land to Habitat for Humanity, paving the way for new beginnings. New homeowners Thomas and Michelle Sayles, who once lived nearby, expressed their joy. This project exemplifies the power of community collaboration. The Sheriff's Office is committed to continuing similar efforts in the future.
