Habitat for Humanity transforms former drug house site into new home in Santa Rosa County

Habitat for Humanity has transformed a former drug house site in Santa Rosa County, into a new home, marking a fresh start for the neighborhood. About two years ago, deputies raided the notorious property in Midway, which residents were relieved to see demolished. Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Randy Tifft highlighted the dangers posed by such sites. The county donated the land to Habitat for Humanity, paving the way for new beginnings. New homeowners Thomas and Michelle Sayles, who once lived nearby, expressed their joy. This project exemplifies the power of community collaboration. The Sheriff's Office is committed to continuing similar efforts in the future.
