WOMAN DIES AFTER WALKING IN FRONT OF VAN

A woman from Idaho, died Friday night after walking directly in front a van in Santa Rosa County. Florida Highway Patrol says the accident took place around 8 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 98 approaching Sea Pines Lane in Navarre. According to troopers, the pedestrian was crossing the roadway from the north shoulder and walked directly into the path of the van. FHP says the right front side of the van struck the left side of the pedestrian, and the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries. Investigators say the pedestrian was a 34-year-old woman from Boise, Idaho.
