(Tallahassee, FL) -- An artificial intelligence company could face criminal charges related to a deadly shooting at Florida State University. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced yesterday he has launched a criminal investigation into OpenAI and its app, ChatGPT. Uthmeier says he decided to launch the investigation after reviewing chat logs between ChatGPT and the gunman before last year's shooting. According to investigators, the suspect asked ChatGPT what gun and ammo to use and what time should the attack take place to maximize the number of victims. Uthmeier says if ChatGPT were a person, it would be facing charges for murder.
