Officials at Ascension Sacred Heart say that all hospitals, doctor's offices, and care sites in their network remain open and operational following last week's ransomware attack. According to a news release yesterday, the only element of the operation that isn't back completely is the ability for Ascension retail pharmacies to fill prescriptions. The hospital says that patients should work with their care provider to have prescriptions filled at another local pharmacy for the time being. The FBI and other government cybersecurity agencies are investigating the possibility that the ransomware attack was caused by the Russian-backed Black Basta group.
