Primary Brings Big Changes to County Commissions

Newsradio 92.3 -- There's some big changes coming to county commissions in both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties after last night's primary election. In Escambia County District 1's Commissioner Jeff Bergosh is out, he lost the race to Steve Stroberger who had 52.24% of the votes. Meanwhile Ashley Hofberger won the Republican nomination for the currently vacant District 4 seat and will go up against Democrat Ron Helms in November. In Santa Rosa County District 1 Commissioner Sam Parker lost his seat to Bobby Burkett who had 52% of the vote. and District 3 Commissioner James Calkins lost to Rhett Rowell who had 44% of the vote. District 5 Commissioner Colten Wright won his race with 57% of the vote.
