PENSACOLA MOVING TOWARDS CITY ATTORNEY HIRE

Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves says there is movement on hiring a city attorney. There has been some criticism in recent weeks, mainly from former city councilwoman Sheri Meyers, that the city has been without an attorney since Charlie Peppler resigned in March. Reeves says the process has taken longer than they would like, but it's an important hire. In the interim, the city has retained the services of Beggs & Lane.
