MILTON COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT -- WILL DISCUSS CITY MANAGER JOB

The Milton City Council will discuss the next steps in their search for a city manager tonight. They had been set to hire a recruiting firm to find a new candidate, but the former #1 pick for the job Scott Collins now says he's interested in taking the job again. Collins had previously dropped out of the negotiation process after a frenzy of communication came at him from former City Clerk Dawn Molinero, Councilman Mike Cusack, and several local citizens. In the weeks that followed the city held several special meetings regarding the process and voted on firing Alex Andrade, and Dawn Molinero -- they ended up firing her after several accusations were levied against her by Development Director Ed Spears and others. The council is expected to discuss their top candidates' re-emergence tonight, they meet at 5:30.
