MAN WHO KILLED OKALOOSA DEPUTY TAKES PLEA DEAL

A man accused of the Christmas Eve murder of an Okaloosa County deputy in 2022 has pled guilty to first-degree murder. 45-year-old Timothy Price-Williams entered thep lea in excahnge for the state not seeking the death penalty. The charge does carry a mandatory life sentence. Williams shot and killed Deputy Ray Hamilton as he responded to a domestic violence call in Fort Walton Beach. Deputies say Williams began shooting out of a window and hit Hamilton, who later died at the hospital. As part of the plea deal Williams waives his right to an appeal
