Century teen charged in deadly Showalter Park shooting to be tried as an adult

A 16-year-old Century teen charged in the deadly shooting at Showalter Park will be tried as an adult. Assistant State Attorney Greg Marcille says Keyunta Ewing will be transferred to adult court, with formal charges to be determined. Ewing surrendered Friday in connection with the August 13th shooting that killed 20-something Adarius Odom and wounded another man. Investigators say witnesses identified Ewing as the shooter and told deputies he demanded money before firing several shots at Odom. Ewing had initially told investigators he was at the park to watch a fistfight.
