Man Sentenced for Dowtown Pensacola Shooting from June 2023

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison for a shooting in downtown Pensacola last June. Rashawn Lamar Posey was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault in the case last week. Prosecutors said Posey fired several shots at two men who were talking to women at a food truck downtown, one of the men was shot and paralyzed, the other was man was not hurt. A second suspect was also arrested following the shooting, 25-year-old Warren Graham is due back in court on public order crimes and assessory after the fact charges in January.
