ALLEGED DRUG DEALER CHARGED FOR FENTANYL DEATH -- David Wayne
An alleged drug dealer has been indicted on murder charges after the overdose death of a man last January.
A grand jury has indicted 38-year-old Quantae Solethia Sanders on first-degree murder charges. Investigators say Sanders sold drugs to Christopher West, who died after a fentanyl overdose on January 18th.
Escambia County and District 1 in Northwest Florida has been identified as the worst part of the state for overdose deaths, having nearly double the deaths of any other part of the state. So far this year there have been nearly 13-hundred overdoses reported on the county EMS dashboard.
