MAN ARRESTED FOR FIRING WEAPON OUT VEHICLE WINDOW, DUI IN GULF BREEZE

A 20-year-old man is accused of firing several shots out of his vehicle window while drunk. 20-year-old Benjamin Neumann was arrested Sunday in Gulf Breeze. Witnesses told police that several shots were fired in the 4500 block of Sea Vista Court, then the vehicle drove away towards Ocean Breeze Lane on Sunday evening. Neumann was arrested shortly after and police say they found a pistol-style AR-15 with armor-piercing ammunition in the truck. An arrest report says that a passenger told officers that Neumann had fired the weapon into the air. Police say they also found alcohol in the vehicle and Neumann blew a .129 breath-alcohol level. He was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail and later released on $10-thousand 250-dollar bond.
