New details are trickling in as a homicide investigation continues in Escambia County. The sheriff's office says a male victim in his thirties was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest at around 7:45 this morning. The call to the area of R and Godfrey Streets was originally dispatched as an overdose, however deputies found the gunshot victim there. Currently, no suspect information has been released.
