Grafitti Bridge in Pensacola is famous for ripping off the tops of trucks because of the low clearance. A new safety project for The Graffiti Bridge is being delayed until next year. The project involves installing chimes near the bridge to warn truck drivers about the low clearance. Trucks hitting the bridge have been a long-running problem. Pensacola Mayor D C Reeves said the funds are available to put the chimes out, but not for curb work, paving work and the walk-through under the trestle. The mayor says the city is wrapping up the design phase for the entire area around The Graffiti Bridge. Construction is expected to begin next year.
