FWC: WEATHER CONDITIONS DANGEROUS FOR FIRES

Burn bans are now in effect for Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties due to conditions that are conducive to wildfires. Joe Zwierchowski with the Florida Forestry Service says a Fire Weather Watch is in effect through today because of critically low humidity levels. That, combined with high winds is a dangerous mix. While a burn ban is not in effect for Escambia County, all northwest Florida residents are advised against recreational fires, including camp or bonfires, and yard or leaf burning.
