Construction on Escambia County's first Wawa store is expected to start soon. According to the PNJ, Escambia County's Development Review Committee gave final approval to the plans yesterday. The gas station and convenience store will be located at the corner of West Nine Mile and Beulah roads and is expected to open in around 6 to 9 months. A second location will be located on Highway 98 at North Blue Angel Parkway. Wawa stores are open 24 hours a day and are known for their cleanliness, customer service, and no-charge ATMs.
