Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A free speech battle is brewing at Pensacola State College after administrators allegedly blocked student journalists from publishing articles about LGBTQ topics in a student magazine. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression says PSC refused to fund printing of the publication because it contained LGBTQ content, citing Florida's Stop Woke Act. The organization is calling on the college to acknowledge it violated students' First Amendment rights. PSC administrators say academic freedom was not violated and students completed their project as assigned.
