FHP Arrests Suspect Following Chase on CR 727

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- One suspect was arrested after attempting to flee from a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on County Road 727. A trooper says he saw the suspect driving recklessly near Stanford Road when he tried to make a traffic stop -- but the Jeep Wagoneer that the suspect was driving sped up and attempted to flee. Eventually, the suspect hit a tree in the lawn of a residence. 24-year-old Dante Jamon Walker was arrested on fleeing and eluding and drug possession charges. He was also charged with not having a driver's license. A second suspect fled on foot and is still at large.
