Fewer Floridians Seek Jobless Help

Applications for unemployment benefits are down slightly in Florida. The Labor Department reports about 58-hundred Floridians filed first-time jobless claims last week. That's 243 fewer than the week before. Nationally, 230 thousand Americans sought benefits, which is an increase of two-thousand from the previous week's revised total. Jobless claims are viewed as an indicator of layoff activity.
