110624 Escambia Public Schools got an economic boost from voters Tuesday as a one-half cent sales tax was renewed. The 10-year referendum will take effect on January 1, 2028. The current referendum, passed in 2014, expires on December 31, 2027. The tax pays for the construction of new schools, renovations, and additions to existing facilities.
