CONGRESSIONAL REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS FIELD HEARING IN FT. LAUDERDALE

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries leading a congressional field hearing in Ft. Lauderdale on reproductive rights a day after the State Supreme Court greenlights a six-week abortion ban. Jeffries says anti-abortion extremism ignores science and constitutional rights. The ban takes effect May 1st, but the Florida Supreme Court is also allowing an abortion referendum on the November ballot. It asks voters to decide if abortion will be legal up until fetal viability. The referendum needs sixty-percent to pass.
