021325 (PNJ) City of Pensacola's outdoor bathroom cost are soaring. Mayor DC Reeves is looking at alternative options after a round of bids to install the three outdoor restrooms, called Portland Loos, came in far over the city's allotted budget. The city installed its first Portland Loo at Bruce Beach for less than half of what's currently being quoted. The issue is another delay to getting the outdoor restrooms installed at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza, the Blake Doyle Skatepark, and Museum Plaza behind the Pensacola Museum of History.
