The Pensacola Fire Department and the Florida Department of Health is teaming up to educate parents and families about car seat safety. They're hosting a Car Seat Rodeo next Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fire Station 1 at 475 E. Strong Street. At the event, professional car seat technicians will be on hand to install car seats and to teach parents and caregivers about proper installation techniques. They will review each seat for proper fit, child height and weight, and check for any seat damage. If a car seat is determined to be unsafe, a replacement car seat will be provided at no charge.
