Arrest Made in Atmore Double Shooting

Atmore, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Another update on the double shooting in Atmore -- a 22-year-old man has been charged with murder and attempted murder. Officials say Tyler Hall is being held at the Escambia Alabama jail on murder and attempted murder charges. The shooting happened early Tuesday morning after an illegal drag race on Carver Avenue just East of Atmore. Officials say winners were collecting money when more than 50 gunshots were fired. 18-year-old Gabriel Hooks was killed; he was a recent graduate of the Escambia County High School. A female victim was also flown to a trauma center with multiple gunshot wounds following the shooting. So far there's no word on suspects or a motive.
