020525 (WKRG) A prescribed burn that was scheduled Wednesday, February 5 and Thursday, February 6 in the Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve was canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions. The burn was set to take place in a 34-acre area located south of Highway 98, west of Fairfield Drive, north of Gulf Beach Highway, and east of Blue Angel Parkway. Escambia County officials now say a new notice will be issued when conditions improve.
