A 73-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Barrancas Avenue and Nimitz Avenue, near the Pensacola Country Club around 11:12 am. According to FHP, a witness stated that the Dodge truck was traveling westbound on Barrancas Avenue when the El Camino pulled out directly in front of the Dodge Ram, and the Ram driver attempted to avoid the collision. Troopers say the truck was being driven by a 29-year-old Pensacola man who was life-flighted to Baptist Medical Center with serious injuries. The El Camino was being driven by a 73-year-old Pensacola man who was pronounced dead at the scene by Escambia County EMS.
