Reeves says the city is working on a menu of options moving forward, possibly including a Portland Loo. The project was funded with a $750,000 state grant three years ago, but construction costs have ballooned. The budget cap was about $600,000. The Veterans Memorial Park Foundation has been pushing for a permanent restroom for over a decade. The foundation says the city should explore an extension on the grant deadline before it expires.
