Okaloosa County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A 1980s serial killer from Okaloosa County is the latest Florida inmate to be put to death. Frank Walls was executed Thursday at the Florida State Prison. Walls was fifty-eight years old. He was convicted of two murders, two kidnappings, burglary and theft in connection with crimes from the 1980s. Walls killed an Eglin Air Force Base airman and his girlfriend in 1987. DNA evidence later linked him to the rape and murder of another woman in 1985. Walls had claimed intellectual disability, but the Florida Supreme Court rejected that claim.
