Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed One Year After Girl's Fatal Crash

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- One year after 12-year-old Sofia Bennett of Molino died in a multi-vehicle crash in Pace, her family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. Sofia was a passenger in her mother's vehicle when a log truck rear-ended them on December 18th. The crash also involved a propane delivery truck. Sofia's mother and stepfather are suing Timber Contractors Trucking, Parker Gas Company, and J.E. Estes Wood Company. The lawsuit claims the crash never should have happened and alleges negligence by the defendants. The crash occurred on Quintette Road near Five Points in Pace.
