Two Baldwin County residents are facing drug charges after police say they showed up to court with drugs and a child. Daphne police say 30-year-old Cody Hicks of Bay Minette was seen smoking marijuana in a vehicle outside the courthouse Tuesday. Officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia near a child’s car seat. Police say the vehicle’s owner, 25-year-old Autumn Barker of Spanish Fort, had methamphetamine in her purse and admitted it was hers. Both were arrested, and the three-year-old child was turned over to a family member.



Pensacola City Councilman Charles Bare has received a Gold Certificate of Excellence from the Florida League of Cities. The program recognizes elected municipal officials for completing training and continuing education. Bare completed the program’s inaugural year, from August 2025 through July 2026, earning points through webinars, ethics training, leadership institutes and other Florida League of Cities events. Bare says continuing education is critical to his ability to serve Pensacola residents.

A Santa Rosa County man is accused of intimidating voters at a polling facility during Tuesday's Primary election. According to an arrest report, deputies were called to the Santa Rosa County Auditorium on Spikes Way after Marc Manchon was seen recording voters and yelling at them. The report says two citizens told deputies they were scared and intimidated while trying to vote. Manchon allegedly pushed a man assisting poll workers and later resisted arrest after refusing to identify himself. He's charged with two counts of voter intimidation or suppression, three counts of disturbing the peace, battery and resisting arrest. He was released on bond Wednesday.
