Atmore, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Two men are facing charges after a high-speed chase that started at a prison in Atmore. Alabama corrections officers spotted a vehicle throwing contraband over the fence at Fountain Correctional Facility Thursday. When officers tried to stop the car, the driver took off. The chase reached Interstate 65 before ending on a dead-end road near Exit 107. Both suspects tried to run into the woods but were caught. Officers found a handgun in the vehicle. The package thrown over the prison fence contained marijuana, meth, cash and a knife. Kyle Turner and John Bullock are being held in the Escambia County Detention Facility in Brewton on multiple charges including trafficking methamphetamine.

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Federal sentencing for a Walnut Hill man has been delayed until April. Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Hardy pleaded guilty to possessing unregistered silencers, a destructive device and a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Investigators found a document titled "Manifesto" on his laptop that referenced a killing spree and identified targets. Hardy came to authorities' attention after accidentally shooting himself while walking on family property in July. His attorney requested the delay to obtain mental health records and a psychological evaluation. Hardy remains in the Santa Rosa County Jail.

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A small training plane made a safe emergency landing at Pensacola International Airport Thursday afternoon. The twin-engine Diamond DA-42 had landing gear problems during its descent and landed with the gear up. Airport Director Matt Coughlin says the two pilots are safe and undergoing precautionary medical evaluation. The plane is owned by Sky Warrior Flight Training in Pensacola. The airport remained open and operating normally throughout the incident.
