It could be a long six months for some downtown business owners as they brace for the Reimagine Palafox construction project to begin in early January. The project will provide the street with a $10 million facelift. Mayor Reeves says the sidewalks will remain open during the construction period. The city also plans to create a marketing campaign to keep shoppers going downtown.

He was pronounced dead at a local hospital after officers responded to the shooting early Sunday morning. Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Pensacola woman is charged with DUI manslaughter after a fatal crash with a bicyclist over the weekend. FHP says 42-year-old Hannah Williams was arrested after crashing into a bicyclist on Lillian Highway near Stafford Lane just after midnight on Sunday morning. The rider was taken to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Troopers say she fled the scene after the crash, but left behind a piece of her bumper.
