Pensacola FL (NewsRadio 92-3) The Florida Department of Education gave Warrington Preparatory Academy one more year to improve their school grade yesterday. The school earned a D for last school year, it was in its final year of a state-mandated turn-around plan and could have faced closure. Escambia Schools Superintendent Dr. Keith Leonard says the district is prepared to work with Charter Schools USA to make improvements. Leonard says while the school's grade didn't improve -- he has seen positive things since Charter Schools USA took over two years ago. Charter Schools USA's Superintendent Dr. Eddie Ruiz says he believes they could be at a 'B' by next year.
