Visitor Arrested After Attempting to Smuggle Drugs and Cell Phones Into Alabama Prison

Escambia County, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A man attempting to visit an inmate at Holman Correctional Facility in Escambia County Alabama was arrested over the weekend after K9 officers discovered a large amount of contraband. Officials say 32-year-old Horace Laster was caught with 140 grams of meth, 14 grams of fentanyl, 66 grams of marijuana, 35 buprenorphine strips, and three cell phones. Laster is facing multiple charges including trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl and promoting prison contraband.
