(Tallahassee, FL) -- The US Supreme Court could weigh in on a Florida immigration law. Attorney General James Uthmeier asked the court to settle a dispute between the state and a federal appeals court. This dates back to April when a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to block the state's law that makes it illegal for an illegal immigrant to enter the state. Uthmeier asked an appeals court to stay the injunction, but his request was denied three weeks ago. Last week, Uthmeier submitted his request to the Supreme Court. He says illegal immigration continues to wreak havoc in the state while the law cannot be enforced.
