Escambia County Warns of Planning and Zoning Invoice Scam

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Escambia County is warning residents about a new email scam. Fraudulent emails are circulating claiming to be from Escambia County Planning and Zoning and demanding immediate payment to approve variance applications. The county says these emails are not legitimate. Legitimate Planning and Zoning invoices will only come from a myescambia.com email address. Residents who receive a suspicious message should not click any links or make any payments and can report the scam to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
