Escambia County, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- West Bogia Road in north Escambia County reopened Sunday afternoon — two weeks after torrential rainfall caused the road to collapse at a culvert near Highway 29. The Florida Department of Transportation replaced the damaged culvert, which featured a six-and-a-half-foot diameter pipe, with new concrete and rebuilt the crossing. The road had been closed since May thirty-first when nearly six inches of rain fell in the McDavid area in just three hours.
