Last C-2 Greyhound Makes Final Flight To Pensacola

Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- The Navy's last C-2 Greyhound will make its final flight today, landing at N-A-S Pensacola around eleven-fifteen this morning. The aircraft has served the fleet since nineteen sixty-six, delivering cargo, mail, and personnel to carriers worldwide before being replaced by the CMV-22 Osprey. Squadron commander Paul Ingram says no other Navy aircraft carries as many personal memories for as many sailors. The plane will now be turned over to the National Naval Aviation Museum.
