Truck Destroys Mobile Home After Crash

SEMI HITS MOBILE HOME -- David Wayne

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Two semi-trucks crashed on Highway 97 yesterday -- sending one of the trucks careening into a nearby mobile home. The Florida Highway Patrol says a log truck crashed into another semi-truck hauling construction equipment on Wednesday morning. That's when the log truck ran off the road and hit a mailbox and mobile home. The mobile home was completely destroyed, but luckily nobody was home at the time of the crash. The driver of the truck, a 63-year-old East Brewton man was flown to Sacred Heart Hospital. The other driver wasn't hurt. Troopers also reported multiple rear-end collisions as drivers tried to avoid the first crash. One 40-year-old Jay man suffered serious injuries as a result of secondary crashes.
