TROPICAL STORM FRANCINE DEVELOPS

Tropical Storm Francine has formed and is expected to intensify into a hurricane before making landfall along the Louisiana coast on Wednesday. The National Hurricane Center said there is an increasing likelihood of a life-threatening storm surge for parts of the Upper Texas and Louisiana coastlines. Forecasters do not believe the storm will directly threaten us here in Northwest Florida, although we could see increased rip current risks and more rain. The majority of the impacts are expected later in the week.
