Three People Hospitalized After Crash on Mobile Highway

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio Pensacola) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Mobile Highway last night. It happened just after 9 PM. The Florida Highway Patrol says a car driven by a 21-year-old Pensacola man swerved into the oncoming lane and hit another vehicle head-on near the intersection with T-Jar Drive. The drivers of both vehicles and one passenger were taken to area hospitals for treatment. A third vehicle swerved but still ended up clipping one of the other vehicles involved in the crash. That driver wasn't hurt, but was arrested for DUI -- troopers say he didn't cause the crash but was impaired when it happened. Mobile Highway was closed for roughly two hours after the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
