MEN FACING RIOT CHARGES FOR DOWNTOWN BRAWL -- David Wayne
Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Three people are facing charges of inciting a riot for allegedly starting a large fight outside Wild Greg's downtown last month. The three charged are 21-year-olds Manuel Castillo and Shawnte Scott, and 18-year-old Jayson Erving. Castillo also faces charges of aggravated battery and simple assault. Police say Castillo walked up to a group of people on the sidewalk outside of the bar and started swinging on November 25th -- which resulted in a large brawl. The man Castillo allegedly attacked was knocked unconscious and suffered a fractured jaw during the brawl. Police say the men were charged with inciting a riot because the fight affected vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area, and tied up law enforcement resources as they responded.
