Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The man who breached Naval Air Station Pensacola Monday is still on the loose. The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has identified 38-year-old Joseph Edward Valinsky as the suspect. Authorities say Valinsky beached a boat on the installation and ran ashore before evading a search of the base. Deputies later spotted him on Gulf Beach Highway and confirmed his identity using in-car camera footage — but he fled again before he could be taken into custody. Valinsky is homeless and was already wanted on unrelated fleeing and burglary charges. Sheriff Chip Simmons says Valinsky does not appear to be a terrorist threat.
