Sunday's Child Names 9 Finalists for $125K in 2026 Grants

Sunday's Child, a Pensacola-based LGBTQ+-focused philanthropic organization, has announced nine finalist nonprofits competing for $125,000 in grant funding this year. The member-powered group will distribute five grants of $25,000 each to organizations serving the Pensacola Bay Area that promote charitable work and economic initiatives while advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality.

The nine finalists are Ballet Pensacola, Dixon School of Arts and Sciences, Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, First City Art Center, Humanists of West Florida, Pensacola Children's Chorus, Pensacola Humane Society, Tee's House, and Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida. Sunday's Child members reviewed all applications and narrowed the field through a structured evaluation process.

The organization's voting members will select the five recipients at its annual meeting on October 18. Since 2014, Sunday's Child has awarded more than $1 million to local nonprofits across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Funding comes entirely from member contributions, making the grants a product of collective giving by the group's supporters.
