Sgt. Angelique Parker Named Escambia County October Employee of the Month

Sgt. Angelique Parker, Lead Environmental Enforcement Officer with the county's Natural Resources Management Department, has been selected as Escambia County's October 2026 Employee of the Month. The county recognized her with a proclamation at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on October 1st.

Parker is marking a significant milestone this month—20 years of service with Escambia County as of October 2nd. In her role overseeing code enforcement officers, she handles site inspections for environmental violations, issues citations, prepares cases for hearings, and ensures her team completes required training through the Florida Association of Code Enforcement. She herself holds multiple certifications in code enforcement fundamentals, administrative practices, officer safety, and legal issues.

Natural Resources Management Director Chips Kirschenfeld highlighted Parker's stabilizing presence and respectful approach with residents, especially when handling contentious situations. "She has numerous qualities that benefit the Code Enforcement Division and Escambia County," Kirschenfeld said, adding that her collaborative efforts have improved both internal processes and customer service.

Parker said she's honored by the recognition and proud of the work her department does for county residents. "After 20 years with the county, I can honestly say I am proud of the work we do and the people I have had the privilege of working alongside," she said.
