SEVERE WEATHER TODAY

We've got an enhanced risk of severe weather today, that's a level 3 of 5 warning from the National Weather Service. Escambia County's meteorologist Scottlin Williams says all forms of severe weather are on the table today, including damaging wind gusts, flash flooding, tornados, and heavy rain. Williams says the storms should start around 2 pm and last through late tonight. A tornado watch is in effect until 5pm today. Because of the risk of severe weather school is canceled for Escambia County students, the Santa Rosa school district is on an early release schedule today, and UWF closed at noon. ECAT has also canceled all services today, including their UWF trolleys.
