We are expecting some severe weather later tonight into tomorrow morning. The National Weather Service in Mobile has us at a 3 of 5 risk for severe weather. Escambia County Public Safety Director Eric Gilmore tells Newsradio that everyone should treat this storm the same as you would a tropical storm, and make sure everything in your lawn is either brought in or anchored down. The storm is expected to bring strong sustained winds and even strong wind gusts -- as well as heavy rain and a risk of tornados. Gilmore urges everyone to have multiple ways to receive emergency alerts overnight in case of a tornado warning.
