SCOTT RELEASES STATEMENT ON UF PRESIDENCY
(Washington, DC) -- Rick Scott has serious concerns about the man in line to be the next president at the University of Florida. Senator Scott released a statement yesterday about Santa Ono. The Florida Board of Governors is set to consider Ono's nomination to lead UF. Scott says Ono has a concerning record from his time as president at the University of Michigan. Scott accuses Ono of allowing an illegal pro-terrorist encampment to take over the campus for nearly a month, and says that put Jewish students in danger. He also accuses Ono of embracing divisive and radical D-E-I policies. Scott says UF needs a president who will stand strong against hate, antisemitism and stand with Jewish students.
