Santa Rosa Deputies Detain Several Suspects Following East Milton Shootout

Santa Rosa County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Santa Rosa County deputies detained four men after a drive-by shooting in East Milton, in an incident being called a "drug deal gone bad." It happened at a home on Highway 87 just a few miles away from the Piggly Wiggly. Officials say five men had driven to the home to purchase drugs when a suspect attemtped to rob them and started shooting. The men then opened fire on the suspect and drove away. They were stopped by deputies at the nearby grocery store. The suspect was later detained after barricading himself inside the home. Officials say nobody was hurt, and a firearm was recovered. There's no word on charges or arrests.
